Bronzing Powder
Everyone seems to be looking for bronzing powder with the
hope that it is the next miracle for preserving their complexion. Bronzing powder tends to enhance your
complexion by providing it with the same aura that an authentic tan
provides. Bronzing powder is typically
worn to help keep your skin a healthy, brownish looking color and not to be confused with mineral powder.
People who use bronzing powder know that it feels great on their skin and really enhances their appearance. It provides nice looking natural shading across your face to make it look like you have a nice natural tan. Many of the better kinds of bronzer powder are able to bring moisture to your skin. There are a few different products like the Guerlain bronzing powder that actually will keep your skin oil under control. This is definitely a good feature because some bronzing powders will actually increase the amount of oil buildup beneath your skin.
When oil builds up from applying a poor bronzing powder, you may develop a severe form of facial-acne or another kind of skin rash. You need to be aware that choosing a good kind of bronzing powder can actually make your skin very healthy, but you may need to be willing to cough up a few extra bucks. My girlfriend says that Guerlain Terracotta bronzing powder is her favorite. Apparently she really likes the feel of the stuff on her face.
When shopping for a bronzing powder, you want to definitely choose one that is long-lasting and that is able to keep your skin well-hydrated throughout the day. You also want to look for one that does not contribute to additional oil buildup on your face so that you are able to stay looking your best.
Bronzing powder looks good no matter what your skin color is. People with polarized skin colors (e.g. really light or really dark) tend to still benefit from using bronzing powder. There is a noticeable difference in most everyone who uses various bronzer powder products. If you have never yet used a good quality bronzing powder, I definitely recommend that you shop around until you find one for a good deal that will be of benefit to your skin tone and texture.
The whole goal with bronzing powder is to not apply so much that you look ridiculously tan. The goal is to provide your skin with a tiny amount of tan-like beauty. Do not go overboard with the bronzing powder application or you will surely make yourself look like you are wearing a coat of fake skin. You want to still look like yourself and you want your skin to look natural.
If you are unsure what type of bronzing powder to use, like I said earlier, my girlfriend uses Guerlain Terracotta bronzing powder and seems to really like the stuff. With that said, there are probably others out there that work well. Once you have found a good one though, be sure you know how to apply the stuff and how much you need in order to look your best.
Most people use a brush to apply a light coating of the bronzing powder to their cheeks, nasal region, and usually their forehead. When applying this stuff you do not want to make it look like there are clear borders in between the regions of your face that are tan. You want to make your skin look naturally tan and apply just enough powder to make that happen. Realize that there are different shades of bronzer on the market and different types of bronzer powder will change the hue of your skin.
You do not want to look like a striped zebra after applying the bronzing powders. You want them to fill in your natural skin lines and add a glowing aura to your skin. Some types of bronzer powder products are scented and others even provide your face with sun protection. Do some experimentation and find a bronzing powder that works well for you. Just look in the mirror to make sure that you are not starring back at a zebra after you have put the bronzing powder on!
